Things You've Seen Before...

...But in different colors: The theme of most of my posts these days. Ha ha...
Anyway: hip packs...something like 9x5x2, in the way of inches. A nice brown, and a washed-out digital camouflage, for all your terroristic excursions and bugaboo perambulations. Hot.
The digicamo pack is lined with that truck-tarp stuff: obligatory messenger bag liner: eighteen-ounce polyester gushing with vinyl. Yum. I detest working with the stuff so I'm trying to use it up. Don't get me wrong: it's high-quality fabric. You could probably make a space suit outta it (and this particular brand is a German import, for all you Kraut-philes). I just don't like the feel of it. It's a tactile thing.

That other one is lined with Top Gun. Mathematical!

Start Up The Assembly Line! Chugga, Chugga...

I'm seeing how much faster it is to make a bunch of bags at once...as apposed to one at a time. Yeah.
[These are the front zipper pockets, if you were wondering]
Thanks, Flash, for being there when I need you the most...

Big Black Bag Bled Blue Blood

Not really...
Nylon/Poly 24x13, 15x9 (bottom)
Big, big bag. Well...I've seen bigger, but this is about as big as I go.
This is another right-shouldered bag. That's funny...two in a row...

Mmm, compression straps.

The shoulder pad is sewn to the bag. I haven't figured out if I like this or not. Next big bag, I think I'll just make an adjustable shoulder pad like on my smaller bags...

You can't see, but there are two pen holsters in there. Really? Yeah! two.

And this is what the pattern looks like. Now you can make one.

All Hail Scotland

One-thousand denier Cordura nylon & Top Gun poly, 19x12, 6x13 (bottom)
Here's a custom bag for a friend o' mine. Turned out super-sweet, me thinks.
Special features: outside iPod pocket, right-shouldered, extra pen pockets inside, extended flap, Cordura boot.

Yee. I don't think that photo turned out so well...but am I gonna re-shoot it? No.

I don't like sewing these small pockets on the outside of the bag...but I'll do it. I was surprised how well this turned out. That binding tape is amazing. Sharp.

This is what we in the bidness call the Quick Access Drug Pocket...for all those times when your fix just can't wait.

Compute, Compute: Laptop Bag

Custom laptop bag: 18x13, 16x6 (bottom)
Super sweet. This bag really looks like a BagJack because of the squarer shape--only better. Ah! No, BagJacks are gorgeous...I don't know if I'm at that level yet. Ha.

Removable laptop sleeve. I was going to make it permanently attached but I couldn't figure out a good way to do that...so I used Velcro--the quick fix. Ha. No...I think it turned out a lot cleaner than if I'd sewn it to the liner. In the future, I don't know if I'll even use Velcro, as there's not a whole lot of room for the sleeve to move around...we'll see...

Small Shoulder Bag

Na na-na, na na-na. Cordura y Sunbrella. 15x12, 13x 4 (bottom)
Yeah, I changed up the design a little bit. Now the liner and shell are each made of one piece of fabric.
