Sneak Peek: Juki Serger

Amazon just had a smokin' deal on the MO-654DE. I've been wanting a serger for a good long while and this seemed like the best time to buy one. 2 to 4 theads, differential feed, heavy to lightweight fabric. Aw yeah. Time to make some full-face fleece cycling hats...when I have time. It's house-repair season...sigh.

Innards.

Time to research serger thread...

We are in the market for a serger to finish some edges on #8 waxed canvas pockets. Have you tried this juki on waxed canvas or cordura yet?

Hi guys,
This machine should do that fine...though, I haven't tried it on waxed canvas yet. I'll conduct some testing and post some pics in a day or so.

If you guys are just using it for overlocking, you might want to look into one of the less-fancy models in the 600 series (unless you find it on sale). I think they all have the same knife system.

Lemme know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Cory that helps a lot. We have read good things about this machine so we may just go for it.
